R. Bradford Brittian

Brad Brittian is a shareholder and one of the founding members of Pitts and Brittian, P.C. Mr. Brittian practices primarily in the area of patent, trademark, unfair competition, copyright and trade secret litigation and dispute resolution.  He also counsels clients with regard to various intellectual property related matters, including the acquisition and protection of trademark rights, and assists clients in the registration of trademarks and copyrights.  Mr. Brittian is also listed as a mediator with the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.

Mr. Brittian graduated from Tennessee Technological University in 1976 (B.S., Magna Cum Laude), and as an undergraduate was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, the Phi Alpha Theta Honor Society, and the Alpha Mu Gamma National Honor Society.  Mr. Brittian graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1979, earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree.  He was admitted to the Tennessee bar in 1980 and has been in private practice since that date.  Mr. Brittian is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.  He is also a member of the Knoxville Bar Association, and the Tennessee Intellectual Property Law Association.
