Melinda Doss is of Counsel to Pitts and Brittian, P.C. Ms. Doss practices primarily in the areas of trademark, unfair competition and copyright law. Her practice focuses upon the acquisition and protection of trademark rights, trademark and copyright infringement analyses, trademark and copyright dispute resolution, intellectual property licensing, and the prosecution of trademark and copyright applications. Ms. Doss also assists with litigation matters.

Ms. Doss obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee in 1984 (B.S., with Honors). Ms. Doss graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1988. As a law student, Ms. Doss was a member of the Phi Eta Kappa Honor Society and winner of the Nathan Burkan Memorial Copyright Competition.

Ms. Doss was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 1988 and since has been in private practice with Pitts and Brittian, P.C. Ms. Doss is admitted to practice law before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
