Morgan L. Fitch, IV

Morgan L. Fitch, IV is an associate in the firm of Pitts and Brittian, P.C., practicing in the area of intellectual property, namely patent, trademark, unfair competition, copyright and trade secret. He counsels clients with regard to preparation and prosecution of applications for patent, trademark registration and copyright registration. He also assists clients with licensing and transfers of intellectual property.

Mr. Fitch graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1973. He graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in 1976, earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree. He earned an L.L.M. degree in Intellectual Property Law from the John Marshall Law School in 1999.

Mr. Fitch was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1976 and to the Tennessee bar in 1977. He was registered in the United States Patent and Trademark Office in 1977. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He is also a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Knoxville Bar Association, and the Tennessee Intellectual Property Law Association.

Mr. Fitch has assisted clients with a variety of disputes and litigation involving intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, unfair competition, trade secrets and copyrights.
