J. Kenneth Hoffmeister
Ken Hoffmeister is a shareholder in the firm of Pitts and Brittian, P.C., and practices primarily in the areas of patent prosecution for electrical, mechanical, and software-related inventions; product clearance opinions; trademark clearance, prosecution, enforcement, and defense; and preparation and negotiation of intellectual property agreements. At the University of Tennessee College of Law, he is an adjunct professor teaching a course on patent application drafting and prosecution.
Mr. Hoffmeister attained a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Tennessee, and then went on to the University of Tennessee College of Law to earn his Doctor of Jurisprudence.
Mr. Hoffmeister is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and licensed to practice law in the State of Tennessee. Mr. Hoffmeister is a member of the Knoxville and Tennessee Bar Associations; the Tennessee Intellectual Property Association; and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. He has also served as the president of the Tennessee Intellectual Property Association.
