A primary focus of our practice relates to the acquisition, maintenance and protection of domestic and foreign patents. The firm has handled patent matters relating to a wide variety of technologies, including the electrical, chemical, medical, software, and mechanical arts. Included among the patent services offered are the following:

Counseling clients regarding various aspects of patent protection.
Performing patentability searches, and rendering patentability opinions.
Preparing, filing and prosecuting patent applications.
Handling various ex parté and inter parté proceedings before the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Conducting right to use studies and rendering related opinions.
Conducting infringement and validity analysis, and preparing infringement and validity opinions.
Negotiating, drafting and recording patent assignments, licenses and other patent-related contracts.
Handling patent related disputes, and handling litigation relating to patent matters.

The firm also handles the filing and prosecution of patent applications filed under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (“PCT”) seeking U.S. and/or foreign patent protection. Moreover, the firm has relationships with various foreign law firms throughout the world, and through these foreign law firms we can coordinate the National Phase of PCT applications and the acquisition, maintenance, and protection of foreign patents.
