Ray Stephens is of Counsel to the Pitts and Brittian
P.C., law firm. Mr. Stephens practices primarily in the areas of
intellectual property law, patent prosecution, infringement analysis,
and intellectual property litigation support.
Mr. Stephens attained a B.S. from the University of Tennessee
in 1985, graduating with honors and earned his Doctor of
Jurisprudence degree again with honors at the University of
Tennessee in 1991.
In 1991 Ray Stephens was admitted to the Tennessee bar, in
1992 to practice before the United States District Court for
the Eastern District of Tennessee and U.S. Court of Appeals,
Sixth and Federal Circuits and in 1995 to practice before the
U.S. Supreme Court. He is also registered to practice before
the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Mr. Stephens is a member of the Knoxville and Tennessee Bar
Associations and the Tennessee Intellectual Property Law
Association. Since the summer of 2004, Mr. Stephens has been
working part-time with the firm while attending seminary.
